Delivery

All text and GIF or JPEG banners must be received at least 3 business days prior to placement. Rich media ads require 7 business days for testing and re-coding.

Timeframes subject to change based on any technical difficulties.

GIF and JPEG banners must be delivered to AboutJobs.com via email. When sending via e-mail, please specify if the ad has been compressed or encoded in any way. Rich media/HTML must be delivered as zipped archives.

A specific URL link (click-through destination) must be included with every banner, along with a banner name for reporting purposes. Please provide 25 characters of alt text if necessary.

AboutJobs.com  reserves the right to reject any ad based on content or images contained in the banner.

Rich Media

We require 7 business days to test and re-code rich media to work with our Real Media ad servers. All rich media ads must be delivered in full working order and must work on all browsers and all platforms. Audio can not play automatically; it must be user-initiated by clicking.

We can serve rich media ads via third party, however re-coding is often necessary in order to track click-throughs. Because third party rich media ads can slow down the rendering of our pages, we would prefer standard third party image ads if the ad doesn't require custom HTML.

All rich media ads should be delivered in full working order, include necessary components and be capable of being displayed on all browsers and all platforms. If the browser is incapable of showing the rich media ad, a backup animated GIF should be shown instead.

In addition to the General Policies:

Script must be entirely self-contained in the ad unit (no code may be placed in the head or body of our site pages)

If a banner requires a plugin, advertisers must test in all versions of the plugin currently available. Advertisers must test banners to function cross-platform in 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0 browsers -- in Netscape, Internet Explorer and AOL browser versions.

Rich media/HTML files must be delivered in zipped archives.

HTML
HTML code must be contained within a single TABLE tag. Nested tables are not allowed. All table cells must have width attributes. All images must have height and width attributes. Only 2 images max. HTML files must be delivered in zipped archives.

Shockwave/Flash
Not all browsers are Shockwave/Flash capable. Advertisers must provide a backup GIF or JPEG image with all Shockwave/Flash ads. Advertisers must also provide code that recognizes automatically whether the Shockwave/Flash plug-in is installed, and display the appropriate media. Advertisers must also provide .Fla file.
