HR Manager
Job Location: Western Mountains of Maine - Bethel, ME, United States
Job Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Overseeing recruitment and hiring of 1000+ seasonal staff including processing of hiring paperwork in HRIS database, I-9 compliance, maintenance of employee files and employee training. Daily HR contact for managers regarding employee performance management, compensation, benefits, recruitment and retention, company policies and procedures and employment law compliance. Organizes and facilitates staff and management training. May act as company representative regarding employment issues such as unemployment and Maine Human Rights Commission claims. Consults daily with VP of HR regarding a wide scope of HR issues ranging from development of training programs, employment law compliance to conflict resolution. Participates as a member of training committee and may participate in other committee activities as required by the department.
Job Requirements:
Seeking highly organized, enthusiastic team player to join our HR team. Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years previous HR experience, with progressively increased management responsibilities. Must possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills. Must be able to handle highly confidential matters in a sensitive and professional manner. Must be able to work weekends and holidays during the ski season. Experience in the resort industry a plus.
