Serve children and parents by assuring that the childcare facility is a professional, efficient, caring and safe place. Help coordinate ski instruction program. Organize daily programs, staffing and supplies to provide the most positive, friendly and fun place for the children. Assure health and safety of children and staff by developing and implementing health and safety procedures. Responsible for hiring, training and supervising staff with all aspects of childcare facility.

Job Requirements:

Must be patient, understanding and have excellent skills in caring for children, teaching others, communicating with children and parents. Must be able to lift children and be physically active in interacting with children as well as have good management and organizational skills. Some skiing background helpful.

Waterville Valley is no longer accepting H2B applicants.

International Applicants: For temporary work in the United States, the most popular visa secured by students is a "cultural exchange" Visa (J-1) that permits them to work for a period of 4 months, and allows for 1 month of travel on the end (total of 5 months). Waterville Valley is interested in applicants that are available to work full-time during our winter ski season, usually from late December through early April. In order to be eligible for a J-1 Visa you must currently be a student between the ages of 19 and 30, and must be a full-time student for at least one semester of the same year that you are applying for, or have deferred status. This type of visa must be secured via a third party, sponsoring body, i.e., Camp Counselors USA, Work USA (IEP/BUNAC) & Universal Student Exchange (USE) . These agencies typically charge a fee for their services. You should contact these agencies directly if you wish to obtain a J-1 visa.
