Job Description:

PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE

To plow roads and parking lots in winter. To operate various equipment on summer construction projects. To oversee and coordinate the work of other equipment operators.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) by following the Resort Etiquette Guidelines.
• Oversee and coordinate the work of a crew of equipment operators at work site.
• Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling and other supervisory functions as requested.
• Maintain roads and parking lots during winter season: plow; push back snow banks; remove snow using trucks and bucket loaders; salt and sand.
• Operate a variety of equipment on summer construction projects, such as clearing and building trails, installing drainage.
• Operate golf greens maintenance equipment in summer, such as tractor mowers and weed-eaters.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment, as well as minor repairs if necessary.
• Maintain any required logs or records of activities.
• Equipment used may include: dump and pickup trucks, bucket loaders, tractors, chain saws, graders, backhoes, bulldozers, excavators, as well as a variety of small machines and hand-tools.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Exposure to inclement weather conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School education or equivalent, plus three or more years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Some relevant previous experience driving trucks or operating heavy construction equipment.
• Strong mechanical skills. Some experience or training in vehicle mechanics desirable.
• Ability to operate trucks and heavy equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
