Are you energetic, confident, and highly motivated?  If the answer is yes, then a career as a Ticket Sales Associate is the position for you!  Ticket Sales Associates earn a guaranteed hourly wage and have the opportunity to earn extra money in commission. Ticket Sales Associates build relationships with our guests by understanding their needs, making recommendations on the best ticket options to meet those needs and identifying the opportunity to add value and increase product awareness.

Ticket Sales Associates at Universal Orlando are responsible for:

  • Engaging guests by asking open ended questions to identify the guests’ need and provide assistance with selection of ticket media.
  • Using suggestive selling and up selling techniques and providing accurate and current information regarding various product offerings and entitlements while meeting established sales goals.
  • Processing transactions for the sales of park admissions media, annual pass products and other offerings while practicing proper cash handling procedures and ensuring the accuracy of funds.
  • Providing relevant park information to guests as well as engaging in positive guest interactions with all guests.
  • Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policies, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.



To perform the role of a Ticket Sales Associate successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Consistent attendance and punctuality is a job requirement.
  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two year college or Technical school preferred. 
  • One to three years in a sales position with face-to-face customer contact preferred.  Six months to one year prior cash handling experience preferred.  Second language a plus; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work with a large team in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to change as required and respond to such change in a positive manner.
  • Ability to work outdoors.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  
  • Ability to write simple correspondence. 
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other team members of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.. 
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. 
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of the Ticket Sales Associate job.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, sit; and talk or hear; regularly required to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms.   The individual must be able to lift or push up to 10lbs with control.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include:  Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to adjust focus, judge distances and judge spatial relationships).

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of the Ticket Sales Associate job.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. 
  • While performing this job, the individual must have the ability to maintain alertness and attentiveness up to 4 hours while working varying hours, ability to maintain concentration and focus, and the ability to work in small or tight spaces.
