The New Themed Restaurant - Bartenders will serve up the fun and flavor at Universal Orlando’s newest dining experience! We are recruiting for an exciting, new themed restaurant that will open soon and bring to life some of our guests' favorite experiences in an entirely new way.

There is more to being a great Bartender than knowing how to pour a drink. Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to understand and extend proactive service are an important part of being a Universal Orlando Bartender. 

New Themed Restaurant - Bartenders at Universal Orlando are responsible for:

• Greeting and offering our guests a selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and suggesting specialty drinks or beers.
• Maintaining quality and portion controls, completing transactions accurately and efficiently, all while making sure our guests are not overserved. 
• Handling situations responsibly and tactfully when guests have had too much to drink.
• Filling orders placed by guests and wait staff.
• Being responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance and cleanliness of a specific bar, and changing and maintaining draft beer dispensing systems.
• Verifying age identification of all guests to ensure compliance with the State of Florida Liquor Laws.
• Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policies, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities. 
• Performing other duties as assigned.

To perform the role of a New Themed Restaurant - Bartender successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

• Consistent attendance and punctuality is required.
• High school degree or GED is preferred.
• One to three years bartending experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Individuals must be eighteen years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Individuals must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Individuals must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and ability to perform these operations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Individuals must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of a New Themed Restaurant - Bartender job.

• While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to stand; talk or hear; handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. 
• The individual is occasionally required to walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• The individual must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of a New Themed Restaurant - Bartender job.

• The work environment is generally routine with established precedents, practices and procedures. A detailed understanding of work unit is required.
• While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. 
• While performing this job, the noise level in the work environment is often loud.
