Universal Orlando Dishwashers create sparkling clean glasses and spotless silverware to make an exceptional presentation for our guests. Take pride in working behind the scenes in one of our extraordinary kitchens as a Universal Orlando Dishwasher. 

Dishwashers at Universal Orlando are responsible for:

• Loading and unloading large dish machines.
• Washing pots and pans, cooking utensils and various other items by hand.
• Stocking clean dishes, glassware, and silverware for use by other restaurant staff.
• Heavy lifting, emptying and cleaning of trashcans, as well as removing and placing recyclable materials in the appropriate areas. 
• Maintaining a clean kitchen by sweeping and mopping, washing kitchen walls, floors and floor mats.
• Performing closing duties in accordance to Universal Orlando’s high standards.  
• Following M.S.D.S. (Material Safety Data Sheet) standards, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policies, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

To perform the role of a Dishwasher successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Consistent attendance and punctuality is required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• A minimum of six months dishwashing experience preferred but not required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to speak and write simple correspondence in English. 
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. 
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of the Dishwasher job.

• While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to stand or walk; handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. 
• The individual is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.
• The individual must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of the Dishwasher job. 

• Routine with established precedents, practices and procedures. A detailed understanding of work unit is required.
• While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly exposed to wet, humid conditions (non-weather); and frequently exposed to working near moving mechanical parts.
• While performing this job, the noise level in the work environment may be High Noise.
