You'll be the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and contractors, helping to ensure the block is safe and welcoming. Some key duties include: Conduct daily checks and general upkeep of communal areas (lifts, corridors, stairwells, gardens, car park) Carry out minor maintenance tasks and report major issues promptly Oversee contractors and supervise part-time cleaner to ensure high standards Manage rubbish and recycling collections, including solo Saturday duties Greet residents, visitors, and contractors; provide front desk support Handle deliveries, manage parcel storage/distribution, and assist residents when needed What you will need: Previous experience as a porter, caretaker, or in a similar facilities role Willingness and ability to assist with physical tasks, including rubbish collection Hands-on maintenance skills for minor repairs and upkeep Understanding of basic health and safety procedures Good communication and interpersonal skills A proactive, service-oriented approach with attention to detail Desirable (or willing to train): First Aid Certificate Manual handling and conflict resolution training Fire safety and building control awareness Ready to take the next step in your career?
