Job Description
This role entails managing the pastry section, preparing and presenting high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods with precision and creativity while ensuring kitchen hygiene, food safety, and proper ingredient usage. The Pastry Chef de Partie will also assist with menu planning, stock control, and mentoring junior staff, requiring strong time management, attention to detail, and a passion for pastry excellence. Candidate Requirements: A relevant tertiary qualification Has a basic knowledge of all sections of the kitchen and strong knowledge on the pastry section Must have an excellent knowledge of using different cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes Must have a good understanding of basic food hygiene as well as health and safety practices Have good communication and interpersonal skills Must be able to multitask Must be able to work under limited supervision Have good attention to detail and produce quality food Must have good time management and organization skills This is a live in position
