Set in the heart of the fabled Los Cabos “Golden Corridor” at the tip of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula. Chileno Bay Golf & Beach Club is seeking a Club General Manager . In this capacity, you will be instrumental in curating the Discovery Land Company experience for both our members and dedicated staff. As the General Manager, you will spearhead service excellence, consistently surpassing owner, and member expectations in every interaction. Reporting directly to the Regional VP of Operations Mexico, your purview will encompass the holistic management of activities, building and fostering relationships among members, guests, employees, the local community, and vendor networks. As the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the brand and infusing our community with a “vibe”. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional service across all areas. Your performance will be measured through key performance indicators (KPIs). You will be seen as the “face of the club” and should attend all key events. Key Responsibilities Provides critical input and planning to the design and development of the all-new club facilities. Establishing service standards and operational procedures for the Club. Recruiting and hiring of all essential management and staffing. Establishes personnel policy; initiates and monitors policies relating to personnel actions and training and professional development programs. Creation of pre-opening budget and operating budgets including capital expenditures. Ensures that premium standards of food, beverage, sports and recreation, entertainment and other club services are delivered consistently. Welcomes new owners/club members; lead orientation programs along with "meets and greets" all club members and member prospects as practical during their visits to the club. Consistently ensures that all aspects of the Club, is operated in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, ordinances, and approval requirements. Manages all owner and club member issues as they relate to operations. Coordinates with the sales and marketing team to promote the club's services and facilities to prospective owner/members and current members. Provides an overwhelming experience for members with creative programming of events and activities that are continually refreshed. Promotes a positive and healthy work environment for the staff that creates long lasting relationships. Is an active leader and participant in the Los Cabos community that represents Chileno, Discovery Land Company and our Investment Partners at the highest level. Qualifications Minimum 10 years leadership in an established high end luxury environment Experience managing people with a strong leadership skill. Knowledge of employee development and performance management skills. Financial orientated. Opening and operation experience / OS&E, SOP, Budget, CAPEX, etc. Excellent decision-making skills. Strategic, analytically, and critical thinking skills to make well-researched and objectively scrutinized decisions that can lead the community toward achieving goals and expectations. Ability to exercise good judgment and make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent communication in English and Spanish is desirable. Ability to succinctly set and explain club goals, driving his management based on Club rules and Regulations. Ability to interact effectively with staff, Directors and high-end members and visits. Ability to work collaboratively with Governor, Tribal Council, and senior management. Excellent computer and Windows software skills. Ability to manage multiple enterprise sites. Strong F&B knowledge and experience. Golf passioned. Wellness, sports, and adventures oriented.
