Employer Description Seaside hotel with restaurant Job Description Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join their culinary team at a prestigious hotel known for its refined dining experience. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in fine dining cuisine, with a proven track record of creating elegant, high-quality dishes and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Key Responsibilities: Lead and inspire the kitchen brigade to deliver consistently high-quality dishes Assist in designing and executing seasonal table dhôte menus that reflect creativity and fine dining standards Understanding of desserts Oversee daily kitchen operations, including preparation, plating and service Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards Collaborate with front-of-house and management to ensure seamless service delivery Manage stock levels, ordering and kitchen budgeting Qualifications Relevant culinary qualifications and food safety certification Skills Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fine dining environment In-depth knowledge of table dhôte-style service and menu development Strong leadership and team management skills Creative culinary vision with a strong sense of presentation and detail Salary/Package R22 000 R25 000 depending on experience Benefits Live-in role 14 day cycle with flexibility
