Job Description
We are looking for a QUALITY & ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGER for the new Affinity team, who will structure the new Mantova plant. Mantova plant is the new Affinity project and it represents a pivot moment for the society: this new factory will be focused on Wet production, giving to our group new possibilities and visions, entering new markets as direct protagonist. The processes of structuring the plant are evolving, growing a team focused on this challenge to better work on the ramp up. This figure will enter collaborating with our plant in Castelgomberto (VI) and then move to Mantova team once that the trials are starting. In this role, an important part is to give leadership to the site in the provision of quality and environmental systems which consistently deliver against business objectives; the profile will be leading the local QFSE Department by optimizing the contribution in this area and influencing the development and achievement of the factory strategic plan and vision. The focus will be also in ensuring that company QFSE targets and legislative requirements are met. What you will do Contribute to the development of the factory vision and strategic plan and to implement actions for their achievement, by leading and developing the quality and environmental teams to maximize their potential and contribution. Ensure all company and statutory regulations governing environment, quality and food safety are observed. Deliver improvements in quality performance by focusing on quality improvement initiatives and ensure consistent quality standards by applying approved manufacturing and quality procedures. Support and advise the operations core teams in the management of quality, HACCP and environmental systems to achieve the required company quality & environment standards and meet legislative requirements. Develop a culture of continuous improvement to drive improvements within quality and environmental. Ensure the maintenance and development of management systems for each area and retain accreditation. Build effective partnerships with suppliers, regulatory bodies and government agencies which lead to continuous improvement in their service. Ensure the development and implementation of site training in quality & environment, ensuring mandatory training is delivered. Plan and control the quality & environmental budget to deliver the most cost effective results leading to continued competitive advantage. Drive site waste, water & emissions management strategy. Promote and drive collaboration between other managers and functions to drive performance improvement through benchmarking both internally and externally. What we are looking for 5 years of experience in managing a Quality & Environmental Department, preferably in the Food or Feed sector. Higher professional education in food technology, chemical or health science related study. Up to date knowledge of the legislative requirements in the field. All office programs experience. SAP experience is desired. English knowledge at advanced level. Knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000. Strong communicator (verbally and in writing) and have good organizational & training skills. Problem solving and decision making is an attitude of the candidate. Tend to think in possibilities and awareness of risks. Leadership skills come natural to candidate, people consider this role a true motivator and team player.
