Solutions Architect - Blue Light & Emergency Services Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Solutions Architect to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on networks solutions for Blue Light and Emergency Services in a pre-sales role, providing the chance to use your technical skills and experience in a more customer-facing position. As the Solutions Architect, you will have the opportunity to work from home, attend the Warwick HQ 1-2 days per month for meetings, and travel to customer sites across the UK as and when needed, offering plenty of flexibility. In this role, you will be responsible for developing technical solutions for potential customers in the Blue Light and Emergency Services sector. You will collaborate with various internal teams, including Account Management, Business Development, Product, Bid, Procurement, Project, and Service functions, and build strong relationships with both suppliers and customers. Your technical expertise will guide the creation of tailored solutions that meet customer needs. What you'll do: Lead technical strategy discussions with senior customer stakeholders. Produce technical options papers to support strategic decisions. Provide consultancy and technical advice to customers. Develop and cost solutions in response to customer requirements (e.g. RFPs). Articulate solution details, including compliance, in the required RFP format. Present solutions to customers, ensuring clear understanding of their value. Lead the development of solutions tailored to industry needs and requirements. Create detailed technical specifications, network architecture documents, and other relevant materials. Update roadmap documents to reflect the evolving strategy. Work closely with customers to align on budgets for the upcoming financial year. Collaborate with partners, vendors, and suppliers to integrate innovative products and services. Provide guidance on relevant training as needed. Prepare technical requirements documentation based on business processes. Ensure the solution integrates effectively with other in-scope deliverable areas. Develop a strong understanding of the portfolio of applications used in the operational environment. Who you are: The ideal candidate is a dynamic and solutions-oriented architect with experience delivering customer-focused solutions. You are adept at working in complex environments, enjoy collaborating with diverse teams, and are passionate about delivering high-quality, innovative solutions. You possess a blend of technical knowledge and interpersonal skills and are motivated to make a difference, particularly within the Blue Light and Emergency Services sectors. Key requirements: Proven track record of successful delivery of technology solutions within relevant sectors. Possessing multi-vendor networks experience would be an advantage Strong technical knowledge of products and solutions in network infrastructure and systems. Experience managing complex projects and change in dynamic environments. Excellent financial and commercial awareness, with a focus on value-driven solutions. Strong influencing and negotiating skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven client-facing experience, with a focus on customer satisfaction and relationship building. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
