The ideal candidate should possess a PhD in Pharmacy, along with a strong educational and professional background from recognized A-tier pharmacy schools in India. This individual will play a crucial role in teaching, research, administration, and student mentorship, contributing significantly to the overall development of the program. Key Responsibilities: Academic and Research Leadership: Lead and contribute to the development of the Pharmacognosy curriculum, ensuring it aligns with current academic and industry standards. Actively engage in advanced research in the field of Pharmacognosy and mentor students in research activities. Facilitate faculty development programs, ensuring continuous growth and adherence to high standards of academic excellence. Teaching and Student Engagement: Deliver lectures, seminars, and practicals in Pharmacognosy and related subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Supervise student research projects, ensuring academic rigor and innovation. Assist with student remediation and provide academic support when necessary. Actively participate in student mentoring and career counseling. Administrative and Program Development: Assist the Director in the continuous review, planning, revision, and development of the pharmacy program. Coordinate and schedule all courses and classes, ensuring a smooth academic calendar. Review course syllabi and make recommendations for improvements. Develop and maintain the annual Student Manual, ensuring it reflects the most current academic policies and procedures Assist with the preparation of administrative reports as requested by the Director. Faculty Development and Collaboration: Promote peer review and faculty development by encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing across disciplines. Assist in the interview and selection process for new faculty members. Work effectively with colleagues across departments to foster a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to education. Professional Engagement and Service: Actively participate in professional service activities, including academic committees, conferences, and peer review processes. Contribute to the academic reputation of the institution through research publications, presentations, and collaborations with external academic bodies. Essential Qualifications and Skills: PhD in Pharmacy (mandatory), with a specialization in Pharmacognosy or a related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration, preferably from A-tier pharmacy schools in India. Strong publication record in reputed journals and an established research profile in Pharmacognosy. Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, and guide students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Experience in curriculum development, faculty coordination, and academic administration.
