Senior Manager - Interior Designer

Interior architect required for working on large scale commercial, hospitality, malls, & other architectural projects for Bengaluru Airport City, a fully owned subsidiary of Bangalore International Airport Limited. Must work closely with Project Managers and internal urban planning and design team to review different interior design options submitted by consultants and to refine selected designs across the project design cycle, including conceptual ID, preliminary, final detailed designs and tender and review of GFC till it is executed on site as per design. Major Activities: Analyze collected data and identify main design constraints and key challenges, and periodically meet with internal design & external consultants. Flag out snag points and ensure that the design is optimized. Also develop a data inventory system and archive necessary data to share with project team members, as needed as per the existing formats. Develop different ID options OR optimize the design for projects in collaboration with internal Architects and plans and to co-ordinate with external stakeholders to ensure that the project is executed as per finalized design. Ensure that the selected design is reflected in the form of plans, sections, mood boards, perspectives, material boards, as appropriate. Have a thorough understanding of interior materials, properties as well as costs used, eg tiles , carpets, interior furniture, veneer, etc. Must have prior experience in working on large scale commercial projects mainly offices, hotels, malls, industrial, retail, dining, etc. Must provide technical inputs as and when required Develop ID tendering documents and closely work with the Quantity Surveying Department for the development of final specifications, ID palettes, Bills of Quantities and Conditions of Contract Support the tender process, including responding to bid queries and evaluating bids, as required Provide technical assistance, as needed, during the supervision phase, including solving design conflicts, conducting site visits and reviewing shop drawings, in close coordination with local design support teams Support Project Managers in validating design deliverable's with clients and authorities, as needed, capturing feedback and obtaining approvals Support the development of comprehensive technical reports, detailing design concepts and os Assist in the refinement and design development of selected design into preliminary and final detailed designs, in coordination with other design disciplines, including the development of required drawings and graphical materials, as needed. Review and conduct design checks with Project and internal design architects on execution and site monitoring.
