The Organization in India: Established in 2015, the India office helps to catalyze a stronger social sector with the goal of improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable populations. They pursue projects that are intellectually challenging and have the potential for significant social impact; their services include providing strategic advisory to social purpose organizations, cohort-based capacity building programs for NGOs, anchoring sector-building initiatives, and developing and sharing insights through publications. Position Summary The Partner will work with organizations engaged in social development and philanthropy by helping them develop and implement new strategies, generating insights and recommendations that lead to breakthrough results, and sharing practical insights for the advancement of the social sector. Roles and responsibilities Client Project Leadership o Collaborate with clients and colleagues to generate insights and recommendations that lead to breakthrough results o Demonstrate excellence and integrity across all dimensions of client work ▪ Directing needs assessments ▪ Structuring complex strategy engagements ▪ Leading client engagements ▪ Facilitating client workshops and meetings Client Relationship Management o Nurture and sustain trusted client relationships at the most senior levels o Activate new relationships in the social sector that align with the organization’s strategy, increasing its network Thought leadership o Champion thought leadership by creation of IP and knowledge building, leveraging the organization’s global capabilities o Develop and share of practical insights for the advancement of the social sector o Connect and network both internally and externally People leadership o Coach and develop a diverse team while being authentic o Provide mentorship, actionable feedback, and professional development opportunities to successfully achieve positive outcomes for clients and teams Firm leadership o Facilitate open and effective communication and dialogue within the organization to ensure a strong integrated organization, focused on a shared vision o Through active leadership internally and embodiment of the organization values, shape the organization of tomorrow o Selectively contribute to initiatives critical to delivering the organization’s global strategy and priorities Through active leadership internally and the embodiment of the organization values, s/he helps to shape the organization of tomorrow. Qualifications Advanced degree, which includes MBA, Masters in Public Health, and Masters in Education At least 12 years of professional experience overall Professional social sector experience preferable Management consulting experience of at least 4 years (must have exited at Manager level) Personal Characteristics and Experience Possessing a track record of strategy consulting practice management and leadership within a high-performing social sector-oriented organization, they must bring: Superior analytical and team leadership skills; Experience working as a trusted advisor, leading business development opportunities, and providing strategic advisory to CSR funders, industry leaders, UHNIs, family offices, philanthropies, and institutional investors; Experience in leadership roles in senior executive search, wealth management, management consulting firms is preferred A belief in the importance of evidence-based decision-making; Deep expertise working with others to practically translate ideas into action; and An inquisitive, creative mind The organization expects its leaders to Genuinely respect diversity of thought and experience; Motivate and engage others with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; Demonstrate entrepreneurial skills of organization-building Organization Values Impact : The organization values performance and results.
