Job Description
The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel belonging to Marriott International, is currently recruiting for a Chef de Rang . Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Chef de Rang will be part of a team of high-level professionals with a strong passion for F&B. This is a seasonal, full-time contract role (40-hour working week). It offers an opportunity to work in a place of exceptional art and elegance, where history and culture meet Venetian style. Your goal is to make each guest's visit unforgettable. What you’ll be doing Welcome guests and attend to tables promptly Serve food and beverages, making recommendations when needed Assist guests with menu questions and special requests Record transactions accurately in the MICROS system Check guest satisfaction during the meal Clean tables, handle closing duties, and restock supplies Communicate with the kitchen regarding orders, allergies, and special requests Follow cycle time guidelines and maintain cleanliness Inspect tableware for cleanliness and presentation Adhere to SOPs and brand guidelines What we’re looking for Legal right to work in Italy with a valid work permit for full-time (40 hours/week) Fluent in English and Italian Understanding of F&B operations and luxury hospitality Positive attitude and outgoing personality Excellent conversational skills and teamwork Experience in fine dining restaurants is an advantage Knowledge of Micros is preferred This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs, stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and maintain a professional appearance in a clean uniform. Safety training and certification are required prior to employment.
