Job Description Job Description Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description We are seeking a dedicated General Laborer to join our team. This role involves working across multiple departments within our facility to help organize and maintain operations. The ideal candidate will be flexible, reliable, and ready to take on various tasks as needed. Responsibilities Assist in organizing the different departments within the facility. Assist on the production floor using hand tools and saws to remove and discard scraps from new and old signs. Put together boxes for the final assembly team to ship out products, pack products to ship out, and float to help where needed. Assist in production stations by getting tools, performing basic assemblies, and learning the basics to eventually learn a trade and move up. Use hand and power tools such as hand saws, the person, and jig saws to break down pallets and other wooden fixtures. Lift and dispose of items such as wood, aluminum scraps, and excess material from signs. Palletize materials for disposal. Be flexible with daily tasks, which may change based on the facility's needs. Essential Skills Ability to lift up to 60 pounds without restriction. Comfortable with heights and able to climb ladders up to 6 feet. Proficiency in using hand and power tools such as hand saws, the person, and jig saws. Strong attendance and punctuality record. Ability to adapt to changing daily tasks. Commitment to following safety protocols and using PPE. Additional Skills & Qualifications Reliable transportation to work. Strong work ethic and ability to complete tasks efficiently and effectively. Ability to work well with others and follow directions. Preparedness with steel toe boots and warm clothing for outdoor tasks. Why Work Here? The work schedule is 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 7AM - 3:30PM, with possible work on Saturdays and flexibility to stay until 5:30PM/6PM if needed. Breaks include 15 minutes at 9:30 AM, 30 minutes for lunch at 12:00 PM, and 15 minutes at 3:30 PM if working late. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
