About the Position The Facilities Team Lead plays an essential role in the daily maintenance and upkeep of Pelican Bay Foundation’s structures and equipment. This position works alongside the facilities team while providing guidance and support to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. The Facilities Team Lead helps coordinate work orders, assists with troubleshooting, and ensures that maintenance operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive in addressing maintenance needs while promoting a safe and functional environment. What You’ll Do Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and HVAC maintenance. Serve as a point of contact for Maintenance team members, providing guidance and assisting with troubleshooting issues. Assist in prioritizing and assigning work orders using the CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System). Conduct routine facility inspections to identify and report potential issues. Help maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies and notify the Facilities Manager of restocking needs. Ensure team members follow safety procedures and proper use of tools and equipment. Work collaboratively with third-party vendors and contractors as needed. Provide input to the Facilities Manager on workflow improvements and daily operational challenges. Maintain cleanliness and organization in workspaces and storage areas. Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager. Requirements: Skills & Experience Minimum 2 years of team lead experience in a similar field or organization. Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in facility maintenance, repair work, or related field. Demonstrated experience coordinating and organizing work activities for teams. Working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, and HVAC equipment. Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and assist team members in problem resolution. Experience using CMMS or other work order systems (preferred). Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and management. Basic knowledge of OSHA safety standards and workplace safety procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (preferred). Must have a valid driver’s license. Education Minimum High school diploma/GED or equivalent. Relevant trade certifications or training in maintenance-related fields (preferred). Any combination of education, training, and work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described including a thorough knowledge and related work experience in one or more of the following trades: plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and A/C.
