Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description Job Description Job Description: The primary purpose of this position is to assist in supervising the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility. Responsibilities: Supervise the day-to-day maintenance functions. Assist in setting Maintenance standards. Coordinate daily maintenance services with Nursing Services when performing maintenance assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas. Assist in scheduling work assignments, preparing work schedules, etc. Revising as necessary. Submit accident/incident on the shift in which they occurred. Requirements/Qualifications: Must have a minimum of six (6) months experience in a maintenance department in a health-related facility. Must be knowledgeable of maintenance practices and procedures in the long-term care facility. Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the Maintenance Department. Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc. and maintain the appearance of work areas. Must perform regular inspections of resident rooms/units for order, safety and proper performance of equipment. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
