RESTAURANT ASSISTANT MANAGER

Job Description Job Description Restaurant Assistant Manager An established, successful local restaurant is seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead our team and take part in the day-to-day operations. This is a dynamic environment, with indoor and outdoor seating, a bar, a bowling alley, and functions, and we are looking for someone who can build a positive team culture while maintaining our high standards of customer service and food quality. Key Responsibilities : -Actively monitoring all aspects of restaurant operations -Assisting in the hiring, training, and developing employees into effective team members -Understanding duties of all positions and assisting staff members during busy hours -Supporting kitchen staff with daily food preparation -Handling cash in accordance with company policies and procedures -Ensuring all labor laws and health codes involving safe food handling and sanitation, responsible alcohol service, and safety are adhered to Candidate skills : -Dependable, independent, self-motivated, and detail-oriented -Awareness of restaurant finances, including inventory and staff costs and cash handling controls -A drive to both learn and share your knowledge and experience with your team -Ability to address performance issues constructively and effectively -Communication skills to resolve any customer issues -Ability to excel in a fast paced, high volume work environment -Desire to cultivate a strong team environment and to encourage success in team members -Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays Required Education and Experience: -High school or GED required -Must be at least 21 years of age -Minimum 3 years’ experience managing restaurant operations and staff -Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation -TIPS and ServSafe certified a plus.
