Job Description Job Description Job Title: General Manager Location: West Warwick, RI Job Type: Full-Time Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a well-established, high-volume restaurant in West Warwick, RI. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of restaurant operations, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the restaurant operates smoothly, maintains high-quality food and service standards, and achieves financial and operational goals. Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service, food quality, and cleanliness are consistently maintained. Lead, motivate, and develop a team of managers, servers, cooks, and other staff members, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback. Oversee hiring, onboarding, and scheduling of staff, ensuring proper coverage during peak hours and maintaining optimal labor costs. Monitor and manage restaurant finances, including cost control, budgeting, sales forecasting, and profit margins. Ensure all food safety and sanitation regulations are met, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and dining area. Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure food is prepared according to company standards and efficiently delivered to guests. Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and track food and beverage usage to minimize waste and control costs. Plan and execute promotional campaigns and events to drive traffic and increase sales. Monitor and assess restaurant performance through customer feedback, employee input, and financial data, adjusting strategies to meet goals. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety codes. Perform administrative duties, such as payroll management, scheduling, and reporting. Foster a positive work environment, ensuring that all staff are motivated, engaged, and aligned with the restaurant’s goals and culture. Act as the main point of contact for any operational issues, troubleshooting problems and resolving them quickly to maintain smooth operations. Qualifications: 3 years of experience in restaurant management, with at least 1 year in a General Manager or equivalent leadership role. Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including food safety, inventory management, and cost control. Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on providing positive and memorable dining experiences. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively under pressure. Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, labor costs, and profit margins. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both staff and customers. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Proficiency in restaurant management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
