Job Description Job Description Assistant Catering & Sales Manager Location: Orange, CT Position Type: Full-Time $60k Base salary Commission We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Catering & Sales Manager to join our team. This individual will assist in overseeing the catering operations, sales, and customer service to ensure an exceptional experience for all clients. This position will require strong organizational skills, a passion for food and service, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Catering & Sales Manager will work closely with the management team to drive sales, manage events, and ensure the highest quality of catering services. Key Responsibilities: Catering Operations: Assist in managing all aspects of catering orders and events, including coordination, preparation, and execution of catering services for corporate and private events. Sales & Customer Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to drive sales and increase business. Provide personalized recommendations for catering services and menu options based on client needs. Event Coordination: Coordinate logistics for events, including but not limited to delivery, setup, and on-site support during events to ensure everything runs smoothly. Team Leadership: Supervise and train catering staff to ensure quality service, adherence to food safety standards, and a positive work environment. Inventory & Ordering: Monitor inventory levels for catering supplies, ensure proper stock is available for events, and assist with placing orders as needed. Customer Service: Address any client concerns or issues promptly and professionally to ensure a positive experience. Administrative Tasks: Assist in the preparation of contracts, quotes, and event documentation. Help maintain accurate records for all catering activities. Marketing & Outreach: Assist with local marketing efforts and promote catering services through community events, social media, and networking. Qualifications: Proven experience in catering, event planning, or sales, preferably in a foodservice or hospitality environment. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks with a focus on quality. Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team. A passion for food and delivering an outstanding customer experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar programs. Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, as required by event schedules. High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in hospitality, business, or a related field is a plus.
