Job Description Job Description Job Title: Lead Electrician Job Description As a Lead Electrician, you will install electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes. You will read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical wiring to control panels. You will collaborate with the team to ensure electrical systems are properly integrated into the overall project. Additionally, you will test electrical systems using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety, and follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations while performing electrical work. Responsibilities Install electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical wiring to control panels. Collaborate with the team to ensure electrical systems are properly integrated into the overall project. Test electrical systems using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety. Follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations while performing electrical work. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform necessary repairs. Essential Skills Proven experience as an electrician in either industrial or commercial settings. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage applications. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Familiarity with power tools and equipment used in the trade. Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose electrical issues accurately. Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects efficiently. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. Additional Skills & Qualifications Electrical conduit experience. Wire pulling. Experience working with valves, motors, and sensors. PLC troubleshooting (no programming required). Experience with industrial electrical work. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will be working in an industrial environment that is not temperature controlled. It can be relatively cold in the winter and warm in the summer. Efforts are being made to transition to a temperature-controlled setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo, New York. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
