Job Description Job Description Job Description: · We are a certified SQF facility in both Food Safety and Food Quality. · All company employees are accountable and are required to understand and adhere to all company SQF Policies and Procedures in Food Safety and Food Quality. · Documentation is to be performed with accuracy. · Employees are positively encouraged and required to notify management about actual or potential food safety and food quality issues; and · Employees are empowered to act to resolve food safety and food quality issues within their scope of work. · Complete knowledge of company CCP's at the Viking and Ilapak Wrap Machines. · Leadership qualities with a "team player" attitude. · Comfort and flexibility with wearing multiple hats in the packaging department and handling multiple priorities, including hand-packing wrapped cookies into various variety packaging. · Accuracy with required documentations. Responsibilities : · Set up, take apart, and clean machinery parts. · Work quickly in packaging process in fast paced environment. · Load Cookies into machine hopper. · Visually inspect products throughout run for quality. · Change film on machines - verify the code, date, and product, and verify eye mark. · Monitor Metal Detector - Critical Control Point. · Keep equipment operating efficiently, including as needed adjusting, calling manufacturer, and doing minor repairs if needed. · Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Production and communication : · Attend carefully to quality at every part of the process. · All company employees are asked to help out in other departments as needed. · Be flexible, open to learning different tasks and methods. · Welcome ideas/feedback from other team members. · Assume the best from other team members - promptly ask them to clarify if you are interpreting something otherwise. · We welcome you to think about how you, other people, and our processes, can be quicker, more efficient, more consistent, and of higher and more consistent quality, and speak up about your ideas to other team members. · "Team member" is defined as anyone working at company, including Jill. · Take responsibility for, and learn from, your own mistakes. · Try not to make the same mistake again - learn from feedback. · Talk promptly and respectfully to the appropriate team member if unhappy about something company has an open-door policy to discuss any issues at any time. This confidential discussion can be with management, and/or the Human Resource Manager. · Always come to work at the time/day scheduled, since production needs are timed accordingly.
