Job Description Job Description Please visit office to apply: 3701 Olson Drive Daytona Beach, FL. 32124 Hiring ASPHALT positions: Screed Operator: Manipulates hand wheels to raise and lower screeds on an asphalt paving machine to ensure the asphalt surface will be to the proper grade and finish. Asphalt Raker (Luteman): Distributes asphaltic road building materials evenly over surface by raking and brushing material to correct thickness; may control screed to regulate width and depth of materials; directs asphalt shovelers when to add or take away material to fill low or high spots. Asphalt Distributor Operator: Sets spray bar and operates valves and levers to control distribution of oil or bituminous liquid (prime, tack, etc.) while driving truck. Rough/Finish Roller: Operates tandem or three wheeled steel roller for finishing bases in conjunction with finishing operations on asphalt bases /surfaces or performs initial/preliminary rolling to obtain compaction of subgrades or base material dumps prior to the finishing operations on bases or surfaces. Asphalt General Labor: Performs tasks of a laborer (raking/shoveling/cleanup) as it relates to asphalt operation. P & S Paving, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer & a Drug Free Workplace.
