Special Education Teacher (SPED) Jay, ME Full-Time | K-2 Resource Room | Behavioral & Functional Needs About the Role: ProCare Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teacher (SPED) for a full-time school-based position in Jay, ME. This onsite role involves working in a resource room with K-2 students who have behavioral and functional needs but do not require alternative programming. The ideal candidate will provide case management, individualized instruction, and behavioral interventions to support student progress. Position Details: Employment Type: Full-time Caseload: K-2 students with behavioral and functional disabilities Classroom Type: Resource room Location: Jay, ME (onsite only) Start Date: ASAP Responsibilities: Develop and implement IEPs for students with diverse learning needs Provide case management services and track student progress Work with teachers, school staff, and parents to implement learning strategies Support students using behavioral and instructional interventions Maintain accurate records and progress reports Qualifications: Valid Maine Special Education Teaching License MUST have CHRC (criminal background check conducted by the Maine DOE) Experience working with students with behavioral and functional needs preferred Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills Passion for helping students achieve academic and behavioral success Why Work with ProCare Therapy?
