Job Description Job Description William M Sparks (WMS) Independent Insurance Agency is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our growing team! We are a reputable life insurance agency committed to providing exceptional service and building long-lasting relationships with our clients. About Us: We are a full-service, independent insurance agency serving the residents and business of Maryland (MD), Virginia (VA) and Pennsylvania (PA) since 1981. We help you meet your coverage needs through our relationships with a variety of the best insurance carriers in the business. We want to try to help all who come to our agency with a personal touch and concern. While our agency is not the largest agency in the business we feel that our service is always the best. We provide personalized service, return telephone calls, the same person to talk with and 24 hour claims service via "800" numbers to the companies. Job Summary: As the CSR you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing prompt, professional and knowledgeable assistance regarding their insurance policies. You will play a crucial role in maintaining client satisfaction and ensuring policy retention. Responsibilities: - Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate and timely information regarding policy details, billing, claims, and other related matters. Process policy changes, renewals, and cancellations efficiently and accurately. Assist clients with claims processing, ensuring a smooth and timely experience. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in our database. Identify and escalate complex issues to appropriate personnel. Proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell additional products and services. Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and agency policies. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and loyalty. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and product knowledge. Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: - In - Office position - this is not a remote position Comfortable answer telephone calls and speaking with customers Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within the insurance industry. Strong knowledge of life insurance products and processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Proficiency in using CRM software and other office applications. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High level of professionalism and integrity.
