Maintenance Assistant

We have a fantastic new opportunity for an MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT to be part of our hotel maintenance team at the hotel. The new 4 Silver star Crowne Plaza Reading ( M4 Jct 10) , has 174 spacious bedrooms, a Conference Centre with 8 meeting rooms, extensive Esprit Wellness & Spa facilities and the Caprice Two AA Rosette restaurant and Monty's Bar & Lounge The hotel has recently been fully refurbished to make it the finest Crowne Plaza Resort Hotel in the UK Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and Assistant Maintenance Manager , you will be required to assist with regard to all routine maintenance and schedule works across the hotel to include the following :- 1. Compliance to Intercontinental Hotels Group brand standards, Fire Life Safety Standards, Energy Efficiency and other standards 2. Undertaking preventative maintenance schedules Previous pool plant experience will be considered an advantage You should also have good communication skills both written and verbal Basic mechanical, electrical and plumbing skills preferred Successful candidates should ideally have a hotel maintenance background, preferably in a branded Hotel environment. Ideal candidates should have a stable background and positive references Hours of work : 6 hours per day to include Saturdays normally from 10am to 15.30 with additional hours to cover holidays Flexible up to 30-35 hours per week This position has arisen due to the relocation abroad of the long tenured maintenance assistant.
