Job Description

As the Environmental Outreach team leader, you will oversee various projects such as Biodiversity Learning Trails, Green Homes, and the Earth Helpers Programme. Your responsibilities include developing and managing community engagement initiatives, designing and implementing training programs, and collaborating on cross-functional projects like the Green Map and Eco-Life SG App. You will conduct research, represent the council in stakeholder engagements, and lead staff to achieve departmental objectives. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, an outgoing personality, a passion for the environment, and a hands-on approach to activities. You will report to the Director of Business Development and Partnership & Training. Key Responsibilities Programmes Green Communities & Earth Helpers: Develop and manage community engagement initiatives. Training and Education: Design, develop, and implement training programs. Liaise with clients for training and consultancy packages. Monitor demand and adjust programs accordingly. Recruit, train, and maintain a pool of freelance trainers and consultants. Track data on workshops and courses, producing monthly reports. Manage the department budget. Cross Functional Projects Green Map, Eco-Life SG App, Green DNA Initiatives: Collaborate on projects that promote environmental awareness and sustainability. Biodiversity Conduct research relevant to the council's mission and programs. Represent the council in engagements with external stakeholders. People Leader Lead staff to achieve department objectives. Manage staff performance and wellbeing. Motivate staff, volunteers, and partners. To Be Successful Communication Skills: Engage various levels of stakeholders in English and another language. Outgoing Personality: Effectively engage stakeholders. Love for Outdoors: Design and assess trails in parks and forested areas in Singapore. Hands-on Approach: Assist the SEC team in activities. Passion for the Environment: Demonstrate a strong commitment to environmental issues. Knowledge of Local and Global Environmental Issues: Stay informed about relevant topics. J-18808-Ljbffr
