Job Description

Position is located in Curecanti National Recreation Area in the Facility Management/Construction & Engineering Division in Gunnison, CO Position serves as a trainee with a primary purpose to work under a journeyman level position to maintain, test, troubleshoot, repair and calibrate utility systems that require work, wastewater treatment plant operation and water treatment plant operation. The position will be filled at the WG-4742-08 level only, with promotion potential to the WG-10.

REQUIREMENTS - CONTINUED You must possess and maintain a current Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver's License with Tanker Endorsement within six (6) months of onboarding date. if you currently possess a Class B or higher CDL, please indicate so in your application. You must possess and maintain a current Colorado Water Treatment Certificate, Class C, prior to being promoted to the WG-10 level. A training plan will be put in place to help you achieve this if you don't already have the certification. If you currently possess this type of certification, please indicate so in your application. You must possess and maintain a current Colorado Wastewater Collections Certificate, Level 1, prior to being promoted to the WG-10 level. A training plan will be put in place to help you achieve this if you don't already have the certification. If you currently possess this type of certification, please indicates so in your application. You must possess and maintain a current Colorado Water Distribution Certificate, Level 1, prior to being promoted to the WG-10 level. A training plan will be put in place to help you achieve this if you don't already have the certification. To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision (SCREEN OUT) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, et. (includes blueprint reading) Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Materials If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
