Position Summary: Senior Manager - Learning & Development McDonalds has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, L&D Delivery (Learning Design Lead) role based in our India Global Business Services Office. You will lead a team of instructional/learning experience designers, learning developers, graphics specialists, project managers, and deployment leads to drive the development/maintenance of L&D courses and content aimed at enhancing the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of restaurant and corporate employees.You will partner with Centers of Expertise, Markets, and L&D Technology support and manage internal and external designers that bring learning courses to life.You will support our learning culture, ensuring that programs are aligned with business objectives and driving both individual and organizational growth. You will focus on delivering high-quality learning experiences using innovative methods and technologies while also measuring the impact of learning initiatives on business performance. The candidate is expected to reside within India. Who were looking for: Responsibilities: In addition to following McDonalds policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to: Learning & Development Leadership and Strategic Oversight: Lead the Design and Development team, including project management, translation, communications, marketing, engagement, instructional design, and graphic and video design & development Lead the establishment of products, services, work intake, service delivery model and the curriculum architecture strategy and management of global curriculum Provide continuous direction, coaching, guidance and support to the design and development team Manage allocation of team resources to align with critical needs and priorities as needed Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of Design and Development talent through continuous talent management, development planning, talent assessment succession planning and performance management Manage resources for the development of comprehensive Learning & Development programs for restaurant crew and corporate employees, ensuring the development of engaging and impactful training materials and resources Recommend and implement the strategic guidance and direction in designing, implementing, and administrating effective training programs that address the specific requirements of each function Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Partner with Learning Systems and IT on effective delivery strategies and future needs to continuously evolve and modernize learning design and delivery Partner with Sr. Director Head of L&D Delivery to drive operational excellence of design and development practices, templates, tools Collaborate with the respective leaders of the L&D functions and subject matter experts to identify training needs, goals, and objectives aligned with organizational learning strategies Meet and engage with subject matter experts, key partners, and learners to conduct needs analyses, define requirements and build the L&D design and technology infrastructure and recommenddigital adoption tools and/or implementation of new technologies Support a culture of collaboration through outstanding cross-functional partnerships Drive effective partnerships with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and external vendors to leverage expertise and resources for program development Partner with the L&D Center of Expertise leaders on McDonalds design methodology and approach to drive effective ways of working and continuously improve the engagement and behavior change achieved by building a productive learning culture Ensure close partnership with the L&D Technology team to ensure seamless integration of new content and technology delivery systems. Program Implementation and Delivery: Oversee market engagement and material translation to ensure user relevance and adoption of new content Establish learning design framework and guidelines; and maintain & advance global curriculum with continuous improvement, driving efficiencies and innovation Analyze needs to design and develop learning experiences, self-directed on-demand learning assets, programs, and tools for global initiatives and market needs; including management of global translation strategy and scaling of global solutions Design extraordinary, engaging learning experiences ranging from core/flagship curriculum to discipline-specific programs Contribute to the overall Learning strategies for McDonalds based on external trends, best practices and knowledge of future of work approaches With oversight of multiple projects and partnerships, establish governance process and protocols, look for synergies, opportunities to simplify and iterate to continuously improve and create consistency/scale and drive efficiencies Manage learning services vendors and facilitate discussions on technical requirements for provided solutions Identify opportunities for synergies and improved efficiencies Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement: Monitor the effectiveness of training programs through evaluation and feedback mechanisms, making continuous improvements based on data-driven insights Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in learning and development, incorporating innovative approaches and technologies into program design Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree required; in HR, Instructional Design, Human Performance Technology or related field Minimum of 6-8 years of experience with recent forward-thinking, relevant experience in Learning Design/Development/Delivery to enhance employee performance and/or experience Knowledge of adult learning and L&D current and contemporary market trends and practices Experience working cross-culturally with global colleagues at all levels of the organization Exceptional project management skills on complex and evolving work; ability to manage multiple projects, including stakeholders, and deliver results within tight deadlines Solid influencing, negotiation and facilitation skills to champion and maintain collaborative relationships and trust with clients, peers, and other key partners Strong organizational skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Proven track record of managing and mentoring global teams across multiple regions Expert in driving cross-functional initiatives, ensuring organizational objectives are met seamlessly Demonstrated ability to operate as a people manager, leading diverse, complex teams, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration across global markets Preferred Qualifications: Significant Learning & Development experience Exceptional project management skills on complex and evolving work Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Experienced in collaborating with cross-functional partners in a matrixed environment Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills Knowledge of HR compliance and data privacy regulations Strong business acumen Positive attitude and a willingness to learn; self-starter Strong ability to influence others; able to build and drive a strong business case for people as a growth driver Continuous improvement and growth mindset Work location: Hyderabad, India Work pattern: Full time role.
