Job Description
Job purpose: The Restaurant Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant within the exclusive member club. They oversee all aspects of dining service, including staffing, customer satisfaction, and quality control, to deliver an exceptional dining experience for members and guests. Main Activities and Responsibilities: Manage and supervise all restaurant staff, including waitstaff and hosts/hostesses, to ensure exceptional service standards and guest satisfaction. Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate preparation and delivery of food orders, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. Oversee dining room setup and ambiance, including table settings, decor, and lighting, to create a welcoming and elegant atmosphere based on club standards. Help manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock control, to minimize waste and optimize profitability. Monitor and manage reservation systems to optimize seating arrangements and accommodate member preferences and special requests. Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally, ensuring positive resolutions and maintaining strong relationships with members. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including regular inspections and coordination with cleaning staff. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as liquor licensing laws, in coordination with relevant departments. Monitor financial performance, analyze sales data, and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability while controlling costs. Plan and execute special events, private dining experiences, and themed nights to enhance the club's offerings and attract new members. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and professional development among staff. Manage other activities related to the responsibilities outlined above. Key Competencies and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Proven experience (5 years) in a supervisory or managerial role in a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of fine dining service standards, including wine service, tableside etiquette, and guest relations. Familiarity with POS systems, reservation software, and Microsoft Office suite. Fluency in Italian and English. Skills and Personal Attributes: Excellent leadership, management, and motivational skills. Strong business acumen and financial management skills.
