Job Description - Commercial Director, New Openings - Asia Pacific (APA014NZ) Job Number: APA014NZ Work Location Hilton - Area Office - Singapore 3 Temasek Avenue 14-01/05 Centennial Tower Singapore 39190 The Commercial Director, New Openings - Asia Pacific (APAC) supports commercial management efforts for our APAC Hilton managed and franchise hotel portfolio with the goal of getting our newly opened and converted hotels ramped up as soon as possible. Responsibilities include analyzing hotel/portfolio performance, developing commercial strategies, communicating Hilton best practices, providing property consultations, remote performance auditing, and training. Building effective relationships with senior commercial leadership, brand teams, GMs, and ownership groups is crucial. The role requires strong communication and analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to resolve business challenges. This position recommends and coordinates commercial strategies for all new and conversion hotels within APAC, influencing pricing, occupancy, revenue, and sales strategies, aligned with regional priorities. Support Commercial Success of New Openings and Conversions This role involves engaging with hotels and management companies to build their commercial action plans, providing strategic advice, and ensuring full utilization of Hilton’s commercial engine. It includes conducting monthly reviews, supporting ramp-up efforts, and tracking performance to identify opportunities for growth. Commercial Engine and Brand Collaboration Act as a liaison with brand teams, collaborating with various departments to achieve commercial objectives. Assist in preparing training materials and facilitate commercial discussions to develop and prioritize revenue-generating ideas. Participate in meetings to stay informed of initiatives impacting commercial performance. How You Will Make an Impact Ensure hotel teams utilize best practices to maximize revenue, work with regional partners to improve procedures, support the creation of opening models, and adapt to local needs while deploying Hilton concepts. Build relationships with hotel management, commercial teams, and other departments to maintain trust and confidence. Communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders, deliver presentations effectively, demonstrate leadership, develop relationships, and manage high-pressure situations. Prioritize tasks efficiently and react quickly with energy and calmness. Why You’ll Be a Great Fit Ideal candidates possess strong presentation and influencing skills, analytical problem-solving abilities, strategic insight, leadership qualities, and effective communication skills. You should be proactive, collaborative, and able to set up efficient processes across APAC. Minimum qualifications include previous director-level experience with senior stakeholder management, multi-brand experience, hotel industry background, and a college degree. A commercial attitude and strong organizational skills are essential.
