To continue the legacy of Goodwood Park, we are looking for dynamic and committed candidates to join our Engineer Department. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, your job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsibilities Assists the Director of Engineering to prepare annual budget for departmental expenses including manpower requirements. Assists the Director of Engineering to oversee the efficient operation of the department. Prioritize, plan, schedule, assign and supervise all staff of the maintenance department. Coordinates with architects, M&E consultants and various government departments for project approvals, executions, and licenses as directed by the Director of Engineering. Plans and directs the preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, work orders, and special projects ensuring timely and accurate completion. Establishes and coordinates the annual in-house maintenance programme. Oversees mechanical and electrical testing or commissioning as necessary. Oversees the maintenance of the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel, including physical, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc. Focuses on operations, guests and owner’s satisfaction. Initiates sustainability/energy conservation programs for the hotel. Assists and coordinates with other departments regarding maintenance and administration matters, including their budget plan for new/replacement of equipment, renovation, etc. Coaches and guides staff and contractors to ensure compliance with hotel standards in performing maintenance activities. Trains staff on proper use and periodic maintenance of all equipment. Ensures maintenance staff are wearing proper uniforms with name tags and uphold the hotel’s grooming and hygiene standards. Ensures hotel and work areas are maintained to standard and that all safety equipment and conditions are to code. Ensures proper records are kept relating to the hotel including repair and service records. Develops, implements, and directs all emergency programs. Prepares reports as required by the Director of Engineering and Management. Requirements A minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel engineering operations, with at least 2-3 years in a similar capacity. At least a Polytechnic Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services or equivalent. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering.
