Chef – Spixworth, Norwich NR12 – £14.50 per hour - Permanent – Days Full Time I am looking for a Chef (Permanent Full Time on days) to work in a Nursing Home in Spixworth, Norwich NR12 (working for the highly regarded company of Care Homes, a market leading Healthcare Organisation). Details are - · £14.50 per hour · Full Time hours on days each week · Alternative Weekends off, No evenings JOB DESCRIPTION · Working in an Elderly Nursing Care Home, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality catering service, planning menus for the elderly residents, which are varied and interesting to meet individual tastes and dietary requirements. · As the Chef you will be supported by Kitchen Assistants, and you will have to support with the cooking of the food. · It’s a Care home with elderly residents with some requiring modified diets like soft and bite size or pureed food. · An understanding of IDDSI and diabetic meals would be an advantage as well as an understanding of how to increase calories for residents who have lost weight or require increased protein etc. PERSON SPECIFICATION · An experienced caterer (Min of 5 years) with excellent management skills is required, with good planning, budget and stock control abilities. · Experience of working in a Care/Nursing Home is advantageous. · Experience of Training, developing and managing a kitchen team
