Food Laboratory Assistant Full Training Provided Based in Reading £13.30 per hour - PAYE Hours of Work: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. Pay Rate: £13.30 per hour PAYE Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Food Laboratory Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting scientific research and ensuring the quality of laboratory processes. The Opportunity: Provide high quality customer service at all times by ensuring effective organisation of assigned workload, integrity of analytical data generated and timely/accurate provision of results. Perform a range of basic routine analysis, product manufacturing and sample preparation under supervision of a senior member of staff. Perform laboratory tasks following specified methodologies, such as Standard Operating Procedures. Use of specified instrumentation and laboratory equipment, including calibration where required. Produce reliable, accurate data and keep accurate records of laboratory work undertaken and results. Follow product formulations and methods considering standard operating procedures and food safety to produce food products at bench scale or manufacturing. Operate basic lab and manufacturing equipment as directed. Perform admin and housekeeping duties as directed.
