Parks Development Officer

Parks Development Officer Hourly rate: £16.10 Hours: 37 Monday-Friday, including some evenings/weekends if required Agile pending needs of service Location: Redditch Town Hall B98 8AH Contract: 3 months with review for extension Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Redditch& Bromsgrove Councils for a Parks Development Officer to support the day to day delivery of the Councils greenspaces services. Key Responsibilities (not exhaustive): Liaise and manage relationships with customers, stakeholders, and contractors. Develop service strategies and improvement plans. Manage and maintain accurate data records. Act as the lead officer for Stewardship applications and oversee ongoing contract management. Support open space needs assessments through planning, consultation, and review processes. Implement recommendations from the Leisure and Culture Strategy. Provide feedback to the Planning Team on matters related to landscape, ecology, habitat, and biodiversity. Coordinate and deliver the Green Flag Award programme in collaboration with team colleagues. Lead on the marketing and promotion of services. Enhance facilities within parks and open spaces to increase public usage and satisfaction.Ideal Candidate Profile: Demonstrated success in a mid to senior-level role within a customer-focused environment. Previous experience or knowledge in biodiversity, landscape, or related areas is highly desirable.
