Pipefitter (Brazing experience) with Per Diem

Job Description Job Description NSC is hiring Pipefitters for the Navy shipbuilding at Marinette, WI, with at least 2-5 years of experience, with capability of passing BRAZING test. We offer Per diem of $150 available for travelers that lives 80 miles from shipyard, a sign-on bonus, and a cash OR hotel advance. For more information and immediate consideration, please send your resume to rose.santos@nscstaffing.com and text 920.212.3448 * Must be available to work all shifts including weekend shift and over time when needed Overview and Testing Criteria BRAZE TEST: Copper Nickel to Bronze (2F and 5F) restricted Copper Nickel to Steel Sleeve (2F) restricted Cooper to Cooper (2F and 5F) As a Pipefitter Journeyman, you will be responsible for the layout, fabrication, installation, repair, and testing of various marine piping systems such as Auxiliary Salt Water , Fire Main , Potable Water , Hydraulic , Compressed Air , Fuel Oil , Lube Oil , and Engine Exhaust systems. You will work according to specifications, NAVSEA/Military standards, and other regulatory standards like ABS and Military Sealift Command Key Responsibilities: Remove, repair, target, fabricate, and install marine piping systems per regulatory standards. Use equipment such as table saws, pipe threading machines, bending machines (power and hand-operated), drill presses, and brazing equipment. Perform blanking and pressure testing of tanks (structural boundary testing). Interpret and follow instructions, drawings, and work item specifications. Provide direction and guidance to helpers and improvers as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications & Experience: 2-5 years of experience in pipefitting, experience in maritime pipefitting is a plus. Strong knowledge of P-73 joint fit-up and Silver Brazing theory. Thorough understanding of marine pipe fabrication , repair processes, and targeting. Capable interpret drawings, specifications, and Navy/MSC/ABS standard items and manuals. Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and familiarity with U.S. standard and metric measurement systems . Physically and medically capable of wearing all required PPE, including hard hats, respirators, safety harnesses, and other safety gear as per OSHA standards . Work Environment: You will work in shipyards, aboard vessels, or in industrial settings, performing pipefitting tasks on complex marine systems.
