Roofing Field Operations Manager

Job Description Job Description Job Overview: Manage day-to-day roofing operations functions to ensure projects are on time and budget, from customer job submission to close-out processes. Provide an excellent customer experience while working in concert with fellow employees. Supervisor/Department: Director of Roofing Operations Responsibilities · Job Approval and Documentation: o Prepare, maintain, and update the required electronic and paper files, including photos, for each roofing project. o Obtain HOA approvals and any missing job submission items. o Generate all change orders and pursue customer signatures. o Generate and manage work tickets for warranty and repair work, invoice same. · Project Scheduling and Timeline Management: o Work across internal teams to ensure that projects are completed within company metrics timelines. o Schedule project tasks such as site survey, material orders, project start date, material deliveries, inspections etc. Maintain project schedule calendars. o Provide projections for major project milestones and completion dates. o Coordinate combination Roof Solar jobs with Solar division. · Materials Ordering and Cost Management: o Track job costs and manage to project budgets. o Place materials orders with suppliers and track and schedule deliveries logistics. o Review vendor and subcontractor invoices for validity. o Work within accounting procedures to track warehouse materials inventories and ensure that excess supplies are being utilized. · Customer Service and Communication: o Provide outstanding Customer Service, including setting schedules with the customers, proactively providing updates, and tracking and resolving customer issues in a timely manner. o Conduct welcome calls and participate in site surveys to confirm job requirements and customer expectations. o Establish rapport and trust with the customer to be seen as the go-to contact person for any customer concerns. · Other responsibilities: o Maintain strong working partnership with Roofing Manager (Construction) to support the construction team's success o Support process improvement and internal training initiatives for employees. o Lead weekly Roofing Operations meetings. o Participate in all weekly department meetings. o Support collections process as needed. o Maintain a high standard of personal accountability. Required Qualifications: · Minimum 5 years roofing industry experience. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Strong planning and organizational skills and attention to detail. · Ability to multitask multiple jobs simultaneously; comfortable in fast paced and dynamic environment. · Computer literate, including basic Excel skills. · Highly motivated and accountable, demonstrated initiative to "get it done” on time and right the first time. · Experience ensuring accountability for project tasks from others without direct supervision. · Possesses a high set of ethical standards in both business dealings and personal life. · OSHA 10 Desired Qualifications: · Bilingual (Spanish) · Understanding of budgeting and expense management. · Experience managing warehouse inventory · OSHA 30 Employment Type, Salary and Benefits · Salary, Exempt · Benefits Working Conditions: · 7 to 4, M-F, Saturdays on call as required · Able to visit customer homes across Broward and Palm Beach Counties · Hybrid work from the company central office as required and from home, provided effective internal communications are maintained and job requirements are met We are an equal opportunity employer.
