Full time/part time Armed Protection and Life Safety Officer

Job Description Job Description ArmorTech Security is seeking qualified personnel for our Armed Protection and Life Safety Officer positions in Solana Beach, California. This position requires officers to display a high degree of attention to detail, tact, common sense, customer service and client rapport. REQUIREMENTS: Must answer all questions for consideration. MUST BE ARMED MUST have experience in Law Enforcement, Military, AND/ OR a minimum of 3 years of armed Security Service. MUST be able to maintain the confidentiality of restricted and/or sensitive information. MUST have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a customer service capacity. MUST be in possession of a current and valid BSIS Guard Certification and capable of maintaining certification. MUST be able to lift a minimum of 80 pounds to carry a minimum of 150 feet. MUST pass a Background Investigation. MUST have a clear criminal history; no felonies or Class A misdemeanors. MUST be eligible to work in the United States. MUST possess a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma. MUST be 21 years of age or older. MUST have a reliable and personally owned vehicle with a valid driver's license. MUST have full-duty gear and personal protective equipment or willing to purchase prior to shift start. Must complete security assessments provided by Indeed. THE ARMED PROTECTION AND LIFE SAFETY OFFICER DUTIES include, but are not limited to: Screen and/ or execute property searches for personnel entering/ exiting the facility as needed. Monitoring facility activities to ensure appropriate behavior before, during, and after operating hours. Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of the facility; deterring unauthorized personnel from entering facility grounds. Monitor CCTV and radio communication channels. Conduct periodic safety checks of facility grounds; ensuring entry and exit ways are secured and free from obstruction. Perform other duties as directed by the Security Manager and client. LANGUAGE SKILLS - Must be able to: Write and speak clearly and concisely using appropriate grammar, punctuation, and spelling; write organized, complete, accurate, and factual reports. Understand and apply written and verbal orders, rules, and regulations. Bilingual preferred TECH AND COMPUTER SKILLS - Must be able to: Demonstrate use of laptops, two-way radios, fire/ access control, smartphones, and surveillance/ body camera devices. PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Must be able to: Capable of lifting up to 80 pounds. Adapt to temperature changes from entering/ exiting the facility. Sit, Stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time. LIFE SAFETY (EMERGENCY)- Must be able to: Obtain, demonstrate, and Maintain CPR/ AED skill-sets and certification. Have a visual acuity that can be corrected to 20/20 with corrective lenses. Exercise use of force when absolutely necessary, using tact and restraint. This position will require the candidate to transition to an armed status after passing screening criteria post hire.
