Food Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician for our Greenwood, IN facility. California Custom Fruits and Flavors is committed to providing custom valued-added fruit and flavor ingredients to the dairy, bakery, beverage, and food service industries. Daily Tasks Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on food production equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and minimal downtime. Follow preventative maintenance schedule. Troubleshoot and repair boilers, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial steam cooking equipment. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations, food safety guidelines, and company policies. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues. Utilize computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track maintenance activities, work order, and inventory. Oversee contractors on site when professional repairs are needed. Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance and efficiency. Conduct equipment inspections, document findings, and recommend improvements. Assist in equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S and GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices) principles. Test functionality of facility safety systems. Fabricate new equipment as necessary. What You Need To Succeed 6 years of maintenance experience in the food manufacturing industry. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety compliance. Experience with food grade welding. Experience with HMI, Boilers, PLCs, VFDs, and industrial steam cooking equipment. Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Computer literacy, including experience with CMMS, Microsoft Office, and automation systems. Experience in Deacom (a plus).
