We are seeking a School Chef to join our dedicated team at an alternative provision school in Burnley, supporting students with a range of additional needs and challenges. This is more than just a catering role - it's a chance to contribute to a nurturing environment that helps young people feel valued, supported, and ready to learn. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals for students and staff, taking into account dietary needs and preferences. Manage stock, ordering, and budgeting efficiently. Ensure the kitchen meets all food safety and hygiene standards at all times. Create a welcoming atmosphere in the dining area and build positive relationships with students. Lead and support any kitchen assistants or volunteers. What We're Looking For: Experience as a chef or cook, preferably in a school, care, or similar setting. A good understanding of nutritional needs of young people, including allergens and dietary requirements. Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum).
