Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Telemetry (Cardiac) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 19:00 - 07:00 Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours weekly Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Cardiac Telemetry License: Current RN License (Eligible for licensure in state of Missouri or currently licensed in the state of Missouri) Certifications: BLS from AHA, 4 trauma credits (or completion within first two weeks from start), NIHSS (prior to start) Must-Have: - 1 year of inpatient Cardiac Telemetry experience Job Description: - Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities. - Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care. - Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. - Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. - Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and service standards. - Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. - Function within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, Missouri Nurse Practice Act, Code of Conduct, Mission and Values, and Service Standards. - Stand and walk most of the time on duty, meeting unit-specific physical demands including bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance. - Possibly work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequency according to patient care requirements. - Handle high-risk exposure to blood and body fluids, with physical demands requiring pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs., pinching up to 15 lbs., kneeling, crouching, and crawling minimally. - Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
