Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Telemetry Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 19:00-07:00 Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 weekly Experience: Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience License: Current RN License eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri Certifications: - BLS from AHA - 4 trauma credits OR completed within the first two weeks from start - NIHSS (must obtain prior to start if not already possessed) Must-Have: - 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience - Determined, decisive, and flexible personality Job Description: - Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care. - Maintain professional accountability for patient care and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. - Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. - Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. - Perform duties and responsibilities consistent with mission, values, and service standards. - Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. - Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. - Work within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice. - Stand and walk most of the time on duty, meeting unit-specific physical demands, including bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance. - May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, or days of the week according to patient care requirements. - High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids, with physical demands including pushing, pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs., and minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling. - Provide patient care for post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities. - Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and maintain professional accountability for patient care. - Coordinate patient care alongside other departments, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
