Job Description

Receive and process work submitted by internal units, ensuring all tasks are handled efficiently Perform general administrative duties, including maintaining current insurance files and data records Oversee and manage data lines in collaboration with on-site vendors to ensure smooth operations Work closely with third-party suppliers, fostering strong professional relationships Manage both creditors and debtors functions, with a stronger focus on creditors management Actively participate in the day-to-day operations of the business, supporting various functions as required Assist with procurement tasks, contributing to the overall supply chain process Conduct reconciliation tasks, with a sound understanding of debits, credits, and financial balancing Please note, these duties are not limited to the listed tasks and may evolve based on business needs. Skills & Experience: A minimum of 35 years of relevant experience in finance, particularly handling creditors and debtors functions, with a strong focus on creditors management Proficient in Pastel accounting software or similar platforms Experience with manual data processing, as the current systems do not utilize automation, requiring attention to detail and efficiency Experience in the food services and hospitality industry is preferred, but candidates from related industries are also welcome to apply Strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain up-to-date insurance files and other documentation Excellent reconciliation skills, with a solid understanding of debits, credits, and financial balancing Ability to manage both creditors and debtors, ensuring smooth operations and financial accuracy Strong communication skills for working effectively with internal teams and external third-party suppliers Comfortable working in a fast-paced, manual environment, with the ability to stay organized and meet deadlines The team thrives on collaboration, support, and regular social activities (such as enjoying meals together at local Stellenbosch restaurants) Despite the positive environment, the manual nature of the work creates time pressures, so candidates must be adept at managing workloads and staying organized under pressure.
