Description: The position requires experience in various ultrasound specialties, including vascular, obstetrics and gynecology, small parts, abdomen, and pediatrics. The candidate must be familiar with ultrasound procedure guidance and may occasionally perform breast ultrasounds. The job includes floating between inpatient, outpatient, and outlying clinics, with the furthest clinic being a 30-minute drive from the main facility. Common types of imaging and studies performed include vascular, obstetrics and gynecology, small parts, abdomen, and pediatrics. The average number of scans performed per day is between 10 to 12. The department utilizes Siemens, Philips, Parks, Mindray, and Samsung equipment. The radiology supervisor may provide support in the absence of other supervisors. No IV starts are required for this position. The schedule may include weeknight call once per week and weekend shifts, with two weekend shifts required per month. The scrub color is any professional color, excluding Caribbean and purple, and prints are allowed. An orientation period of one week is provided, covering inpatient, outpatient, and outlier clinics. Expectations include being on call during holidays and having a one-hour response time.
