Experienced Accounts Assistant/ Semi-Senior Accountant Job Type: Full-time Location: Acton Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Assistant/ Semi-Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with at least 2-3 years of experience in accounting practice, possessing strong bookkeeping skills and proficiency in QuickBooks. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including management accounts and VAT returns and preparing draft accounts for clients. Day-to-day of the role: Perform bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks and VT Transaction (training provided for VT if needed). Prepare and manage management accounts. File VAT returns accurately and timely. Prepare draft accounts up to year-end for managers review. Work closely with the team to ensure all financial processes are followed correctly. Report directly to the manager, and collaborate effectively within the team. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 2-3 years experience in an accounting practice. Strong bookkeeping experience up to Trial Balance and Profit & Loss. Proficient in QuickBooks; familiarity with VT Transaction is beneficial but not required. Knowledge of VAT, PAYE, and CIS recording. Capable of filing VAT returns and preparing draft accounts(not essential) IT skills in VT Transaction, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and Microsoft Word.
