Job Description
Our client is a dynamic and growing company specializing in high-quality interior fit-outs, refurbishments, and flooring projects across the commercial, residential, hospitality, and retail sectors. Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join their commercial team. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of interior projects, from early budgeting through to final tender submissions. Key Responsibilities: * Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates. * Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and clarify project requirements. * Prepare take-offs and detailed bills of quantities for flooring, joinery, partitions, finishes, M&E coordination, and related scopes. * Develop cost plans, budgets, and value engineering options to meet client expectations. * Produce and present competitive tender submissions within set deadlines. * Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings as necessary to assess conditions and project complexities. * Maintain a database of current supplier and subcontractor pricing and develop strong relationships within the supply chain. * Assist the commercial team in post-tender negotiations and handover to project delivery teams. * Monitor market trends, material costs, and industry standards to ensure estimates are up to date and competitive. Qualifications & Experience: * Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction or interior fit-out sector. * Solid understanding of construction methods, interior fit-out processes, and flooring systems. * Proficient in estimation software (e.g., Conquest, Causeway, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite. * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. * Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. * Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. * Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is desirable.
