Workday Integration Lead

About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Workday Integration Technical Lead to join our team and support a high-impact digital transformation initiative for Petco . In this role, you will be responsible for leading integration design and development across multiple Workday functional areas, including HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Recruiting. You will collaborate with business and technical teams, provide architectural direction, and ensure best practices are followed across all integration workstreams. Job Responsibilities Lead and mentor a distributed team of developers, ensuring high-quality delivery and production support. Translate business requirements into detailed integration specifications and technical documentation. Develop and maintain Workday integrations using: Workday Studio Core Connectors (CCW, CCB) SOAP & REST APIs XSLT 3.0 , Document Transformation Inbound/Outbound EIBs , RaaS Work closely with stakeholders to assess requirements, design scalable solutions, and perform impact analysis. Create and execute integration test plans, test scenarios, and support business users during testing phases. Support Workday upgrades, enhancements, and patch testing as needed. Provide expert-level troubleshooting and production support for Workday integration issues. Ensure proper documentation, versioning, and compliance with integration and security best practices. Required Qualifications 7 years of experience in software development, integration, or IT systems. 5 years of experience with Workday integration development across HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Recruiting modules. 2 years of experience in a technical lead or architecture role. Deep understanding of Workday integration tools and technologies (Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, XSLT, APIs). Strong skills in Workday Reporting , Calculated Fields , and Business Process configuration . Experience with integration security , XML, JSON, PGP, SSL, and SSO. Experience with Workday Orchestrate or Extend is a plus. Solid experience in creating documentation, test plans, and collaborating with business users. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Nice-to-Have Skills Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Jira.
